Last week, Maggie pipes up from the backseat to tell me about a book her teacher read at school about Martin Luther King Jr.Mom, you didn't know that in the olden days some white people weren't very nice to black people. And they made black people sit in the back of the bus. And then Martin Luther Kings Jr came and told people to be nice to each other. And then, and Mom this is the sad part, somebody shot him. But we remember him now because he just wanted people to be nice to each other.
